WorkMates
WorkMates is where you talk to your AI employee team. Instead of separate tools for inbox, content, social, SEO, and finance, you have one team roster: pick a WorkMate, send a task, and approve the results before anything ships.
What it is
You don't get one assistant — you get a team. Each WorkMate specializes in a different area: email and inbox, social content, SEO, finance, and more. You stay in control throughout. You send a task, review any proposal a WorkMate raises, and approve before it goes further.
Key screen
WorkMates
This is the single nav entry for your AI team — it replaces what used to be separate "WorkMate AI" and "Direct chat" links. It's your team roster: browse the WorkMates available on your plan, see which ones are active, and pick one to start a conversation. From here you can:
- Open a chat with any individual WorkMate for a focused, one-on-one conversation.
- Start with your dispatcher (your workspace's main point of contact) when you're not sure who should handle a task — describe what you need and it routes to the right WorkMate.
- Review any decision a WorkMate is waiting on you for, right from their card, without leaving the roster.
- Search recent activity across your team.
There's no separate "Chat" or "Direct chat" screen anymore — opening a WorkMate from this roster takes you straight into that conversation.
Common tasks
Send a quick task Open WorkMates, start with your dispatcher, and describe what you need ("Review these three emails and draft replies" or "Create a LinkedIn post about our new feature"). It routes to the right WorkMate, or you can pick one yourself.
Have a detailed conversation From WorkMates, click a specific WorkMate to open a one-on-one conversation. Upload files, ask follow-up questions, and iterate on ideas.
Approve a WorkMate's proposal When a WorkMate finishes work that needs your sign-off, you'll see a proposal in that conversation. Review what's being suggested, ask questions if needed, then approve to proceed. Nothing ships without you.
Give feedback Like or dislike a response. This helps your team learn your preferences over time.
Copy, retry, or delete If you change your mind, you can delete a message, copy one to reuse elsewhere, or retry a task.
Tips
Start with your dispatcher when you're unsure who should help. It routes the task to the right WorkMate for you, or across the team for a multi-step job.
Go straight to a specific WorkMate when you already know who you need. That gets you into a focused, back-and-forth conversation faster.
Attach files and materials. Send reference images, PDFs, or documents so a WorkMate understands exactly what you want. Use the paperclip icon.
Try voice input. Use the microphone icon to speak your task instead of typing — handy when you're on the move.
Review proposals carefully. Before approving a WorkMate's work, read what's being proposed. This is your last checkpoint before action.
Build on successful tasks. If a WorkMate does great work, ask it to refine further or reuse the approach for similar tasks next time.
